Road construction and parking update:

There is currently road reconstruction on Riverside Avenue - as you come to the Expo, avoid Riverside Avenue. Don't take the Riverside I-94 exit - take the Cedar Avenue exit or the West Bank Washington Avenue exit. Parking is still plentiful! - just not on Riverside Avenue. The U. of M ramp behind Midwest Mountaineering, as well as the Law School and Willey Hall U. of M surface lots are good options.                    

$5 (daily rate)  validation tickets are available for the 7 Corners Ramp (at the Holiday Inn).  Park in the ramp and get your validation ticket from the greeter table at the Midwest Mountaineering front door entrance or the tent entrance. When you leave the 7 Corners Ramp, this ticket will reduce your parking fee from $13 to $5 for the day.  The validation rate at the 7 Corners Ramp is the cheapest parking option.

Shopping for a canoe or kayak? Try before you buy - go to the canoe and kayak DEMO - Thursday, April 26th 3-7 pm  at the northwest end of Lake Nokomis.  100's of boats to try and  manufacturers' reps will be there to answer questions.

•Page 18, 19 – Program (3:00pm Cowles Auditorium): 'Lightweight Backpacking Tips' presented by Rod Johnson replaces Mike Libecki's 'In Search of Vertical Earth'.
•Page 18, 19 – Program: Mike Libecki's  'In Search of Vertical Earth' has been moved from Saturday to Sunday at 4:30pm in the Cowles Auditorium. To fill in at 3pm for MikeLibecki's scheduling change, Rod and Sharon Johnson will do a Saturday presentation of their Backpacking Tips and Technques - description on pg 12 of the Expo newspaper. They'll have a drawing for free stuff!
•Page 19 – Program (3:30pm Hanson Hall 104): 'Solo River Trip in Southwest Peru' has been replaced by 'Patagonia Unbridled' presented by Jordan Harvey.
