CXC Super Fit Sale & Clinics

Peak Nordic Ski Swap Saturday


 
There's nothing like news of snow in Hayward to get the excitement pumping about the coming ski season.  Thanks to our friend Mike Mandli for this great shot taken today.

This Friday (10 am - 8 pm), Saturday (10 am - 5 pm) and Sunday (11 am - 5 pm) you can stoke the fires of your ski dreams with clinics and sales.  You can learn about waxing and training and get the best possible fit on new euipment.

Rossignol Nordic Director Ryan Green will be in our shop all day Friday to give the lowdown on the latest ski and boot innovations.  CXC Director Yuriy Gusev will conduct a FREE wax clinic at 6 pm.  On Saturday CXC skier Eric Wolcott will lead a FREE dryland and roller ski clinic at 9 am.  If you need roller skis, you can borrow a pair at the shop at 8:30.

Each day, athletes, directors and managers from CXC will be in the shop to help fit and select skis using a computerized pressure mat that ensures great on-snow performance.  Yuriy Gusev, Eric Wolcott, Ducan Bathe, CXC Adaptive Skiing Coordinator and  Andrew Possenberg, Sports Manager will be on hand.  

There will be special pricing on all ski equipment and extra special prices on Rossignol, the ski sponsor for CXC.  You will also find special pricing on Bjorn Dahle ski wear, CXC's clothing sponsor.  All wax tools and irons will be on sale too.

Peak Nordic Ski Swap Saturday

You can pick up used XC ski equipment at incredible prices this Saturday in the Doc's warehouse behind the shop at the annual Peak Nordic Ski Swap from 10 am to 3 pm. 

 
Just a Few Hours Left to Kickstart MS Movie
 
Time is running out to fund the new movie "Multiple Sclerosis, the Vikings and Nordic Skiing" by contributing on Kickstarter.  The film inspires people who are dealing with MS to embrace active life styles and informs all viewers about the nature of the disease.  Birkie skier Katie Stalland, pictured here, is featured in the film.  CLICK HERE to see a personal request and offer from Norwegian Olympic legend Vergard Ulvang.

5th Annual Bergkonig
5 & 10 K Run Saturday

The Bergkonig Run is just around the corner.  Held on the ski trails at Lapham Peak Saturday, November 9 this fun trail running event offers a great pre-snow tune up while supporting the training programs of local athletes Maria Stuber and  Bryan Cook.

Doc's 60th Birthday Bash a Huge Success



The Doc wants to thank everyone for the Birthday wishes and over 100 for attending the party with The Front Band last Saturday.  It was great fun.  Thanks to Arial Shoeninger for the cool photo too.
