| Bock With The Doc Thursday Don't miss Bock With The Doc tomorrow, Thursday December 5 from 6 to 8 pm. Three ski wax stations will be set up where you can learn details of products and application from Dan Diggins from Fast Wax, Ben Lund from TOKO and Ari Mahonen from Start. You can also enjoy free snacks and bock beer and take advantage of special pricing on wax, tools and accessories. Snow Reports from Da Nort As usual the UP leads the way with early season skiing. Reports of good skiing at ABR, Noquemenon Trail and Valley Spur are in on Skinny Ski. People are also skiing in the Rhinelander/Eagle River area at Razorback, Washburn and Three Eagles trails and at Minocqua Winter Park with rock skis. There is now a webcam at the OO midway crossing of the Birkie Trail near Seeley. It looks like they got snow and rolled it, but no ski reports yet. CLICK HERE for the webcam. If you haven't already, bookmark Skinny Ski for skier reports on trails throughout the upper Midwest and beyond. The first week of December is also their Membership Drive. Memberships support this service which has saved skiers driving time and disappointment. All good reasons to join. Wine Cheese & Skis December 12 Ladies get ready for Wine Cheese & Skis coming Thursday, December 12 from 6 to 8 pm. Expect to see old friends and meet new ones while enjoying free wine and snacks. Highlights will be a fashion show, info about organizations, products, events, and lessons. There will be door prizes and some lucky lady will win a (ski) wax job. Women's XC clothing will be 20% off. |
Lapham Peak Snowmaking  If it looks like snow, feels like snow and packs like snow, it's SNOW! Thanks to good temperatures snowmaking continues at Lapham Peak. You should be able to get on skis soon without driving hundreds of miles. Donations are what make this and future trail expansion happen. CLICK HERE to kick in. |
