Wine Cheese & Skis Thursday

Tomorrow from 6 to 8 pm is the time for fun and fashion for lady skiers at the Bike Doc's annual Wine Cheese & Skis.  There will be free snacks and wine.  You'll enjoy learning about events, products, organizations and ski lessons.  A highlight will be the fashion show.

You can take advantage of 20% off on women's XC ski clothing.  There will be door prizes and a drawing for a free (ski) wax job by resident ski wax expert Harry Schoeninger.

Holiday Shopping at the Doc's

You don't need to drive mile after mile to get stressed out shopping at a mall this season.  If someone on your list is a XC skier or cyclist, you can have fun shopping at Bicycle Doctor Nordic Ski Shop.  The fireplace is always on, the coffee is hot and the beer is cold.  We've got a great selection of kid's bikes that would sparkle under the tree on Christmas morning.  If you don't know what to get, consider the new plastic Bicycle Doctor gift card available for any amount.

Lapham Peak Open For Skiing

This Hans Wildebush photo says it all.  The groomed man-made snow and new LED lights are ready for skiing action the second week of December.  It makes all the volunteer hours and donations worth it.   Right now there is about a quarter of a kilometer groomed and you have to ski back and forth, but the full loop is expected to open by the weekend.

Snowmaking and future trail expansion is supported entirely by your contributions.  You can CLICK HERE to make a donation or learn more.

FUNdraising for the New Variable Pump Oh So Close

An essential component for expanding the Lapham Peak man-made snow loop up to higher elevations is the purchase of a $60,000 variable pump.  This Tom Davenport graphic shows we are almost there with just over $4,000 to go.

Lapham Peak Christmas Ornaments For Sale

Another way to support snowmaking at Lapham Peak is to purchase a John Hallet design, laser cut Christmas tree ornament. They are available at Bicycle Doctor for $20 which goes entirely to snowmaking projects.
Happy trails,
The Doc
