Big Changes Coming to
Main Street Dousman

What Main Street Dousman looks like today.

What Main Street will look like later this year.

OK, the black and white shot is antique, but other than the Curtis Jenny flying over, Main Street hasn't changed much in 90 years.  It will be different soon though.  It will be wider with bike lanes and the power lines will be gone.  The Glacial Drumlin Trail crossing will be clearly defined.

That means things Main be torn up for a while.  There will always be access to Bicycle Doctor and the south end of Main will be repaved in May.  The Glacial Drumlin Trail will remain open throughout.  Weekly bike rides will be able to use it to access local roads not effected by construction.

Get ready to welcome the new Dousman!  Warm up the biplane.

9th Annual Spring Bike Swap Saturday

You can help raise funds for Lapham Peak snowmaking at the Spring Bike Swap, Saturday, March 15.  You can pick up great deals on bike stuff at Cushing Park Elementary School in Delafield between 9:30 am and 1:30 pm.  Free helmets will be given to the first 25 children ages 3 to 13 when buying a bike.  CLICK HERE  for more info on the Bike Swap.

Big Sales are Coming

Spring is just around the corner and you won't want to miss the Doc's traditional Whale of a Sale on the Bicycle Trail coming next month.  The Pre-Sale will be April 4-6 and the Outdoor Extravaganza is April 10-13.  Sunday store hours will be 11 am to 5 pm, adding two more hours to shop.

Special Early Season Bike Service Deals
& New Service Reservation System

Big news back in the shop.  If you get your bike in before Monday, March 31 you can get 2013 pricing on the Doc Super Tune Up.  That means $130 of service for only $90.

For the first time we will offer reservations for 24-hour turn around service so you can spend more time pedaling.  Here's how it will work:  Bring your bike in for an evaluation of service and parts needs.  Pay a $50 non-refundable deposit (applied towards final charges) and get an appointment drop off date.  Bring the bike in then and get it back in 24 hours.

Winter Grinds to a Halt

People are still skiing on lakes and at various trails.  That means we've had three months of continuous skiing. Wow!  But, good things must come to an end.  This is the last weekend skis and ski gear will be on display.  Selection is a bit spotty, but you can still find some great deals if you hurry.

The last drop off date for ski stone grinding will be St. Patrick's Day, Monday, March 17.  We will continue to rent skis as long as there is snow to ski on.  Spring is a great time to take a friend out and show them how much fun XC skiing can be.

Check Out the Plans for a
New Shelter at McMiller

Amazing Winter Crow Video

NPR put up a few unique winter videos recently.  The most amazing is the first one of a Russian crow using a jar top as a sled.  CLICK HERE and enjoy a good laugh.
