Our First Diva Night was a great success - Thank You!

Thank you to all the adventure-loving women who came out for Diva Night, Thursday, May 8th.. Notwithstanding some interesting weather that day, over one hundred women participated in our 45 minute walk and received a free pair of SmartWool socks.  Several hundred women enjoyed  yoga, massage, drawings for prizes, munchies and beverages, a climbing class and more.  We were honored to have Mark Satkiewicz, president of SmartWool, walk with us, meet and greet attendees, and give a fun presentation on the history of SmartWool. Thanks to all our sponsors: SmartWool, Merrell, prAna and Lole.

We had so much fun that we'll be planning more events for our Outdoor Divas. Look for Outdoor Diva nights this October and next May.   More info to come....

Watch for more FREE yoga classes at Midwest Mountaineering on Saturday mornings, beginning Saturday, May 31st at 8:15. Participants will receive a certificate good for $5 off a $25 purchase the day of the yoga class.

Midwest Mountaineering is hiring now

Midwest Mountaineering is now accepting applications from enthusiastic and qualified wilderness travelers for our retail floor.  We are now hiring for part time positions [12-25 hrs/week] in multiple departments.  You must be available nights [5-9] and 1/2 of the weekend days each month to be considered for these positions.  We only consider candidates who are available for at least one year of continuous employment for non-expo positions. If possible, please drop your application off in person at the store for a quick screening interview with a manager.

Please contact [email protected] with any questions. more info
