Doc's Birthday Bash November 1st @ 8PM 
The Doc will celebrate his 61st Birthday by rockin' the shop with The Front Band on Saturday, November 1st from 8-11 pm. There will be a nominal cover charge so the band gets something out of it besides the fun of playing with the Doc. Draft Hoffbrauhaus Oktoberfest along with the Doc's famous brats will be available for purchase. No presents for the Doc please unless you can figure how to knock an hour off his Birkie time Doc Attends Fischer Ski University 
The 'Doc' was one of only 32 race centers invited to this nationwide event; it was the who's who of the U.S. ski industry! He attended seminars on ski and boot fitting with the company's designers and engineers. He also learned about the history of Fischer Skis, the only family run and privately held ski company in the world. It is also the most successful in the racing world, holding 103 medals at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi and 148 medals at the World Cup. Ninety percent of all world cup competitors are on the NNN binding system and most of the U.S. nordic ski team switched to the new Fischer boots this year. Speaking of skiing, the Doc's annual Pre-Season and CXC Super Fit Sale is coming up Friday, November 7th thru Sunday the 9th. CXC skiers and coaches will be on hand to fit skis with their computer pressure mat. The Ski Swap will benefit the Peak Nordic youth ski team one of the best causes you'll find anywhere. You can sell your used ski gear or get a screaming deal on some. Drop off is October 29th from 4-7pm at the Bicycle Doctor.  5K or 10K Trail Run/Walk/Nordic Walk sponsored by the Bicycle Doctor - This exciting event at Lapham Peak State Park in Delafield, Wisconsin will be run from the Evergreen Shelter to the top of the Lapham Peak tower and back down. Bergkönig means, "Mountain King," in German. For those of you who are not familiar with the park, the course involves numerous hill climbs, technical sections, and flights of stairs. The race should be very challenging for the veteran trail racer, yet fun and exciting for the recreational trail runner.
Roll a Fattie We are getting shipments of fat bikes in from Trek and Salsa. If you have never ridden one stop in and take one for a spin. As in years past they will sell out early. 2015 Birkie  Doc will be doing his 30th Birkie this February. Join him as he accomplishes this milestone. Better sign up soon since the 2015 Birkie is almost sold out. There are less then 500 spots left. Click here to secure your spot. Fright Hike  It's now in it's 15th year. The Fright Hike is a fun family night, walking through the dark and scary scenes performed along a 1-mile trail. Wandering Spooks help create a scary time throughout the hike. Over 3300 hikers from throughout southern Wisconsin attend every year. Music in the staging area to be enjoyed before and after the hike. A bon fire is available to warm up and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate after the event. Or come early and have a grilled hot dog, cookies and popcorn from the concession stand.
Donate Online to Be Sure of Snow at Lapham Peak The fund raising is under way by the Friends of Lapham Peak to make sure we have snow to ski on again this winter and to work on expanding the trail system. Man-made snow is paid for with donations and now you can give money online. Our in house ski instructor, Dan LaBlanc, is available for private or group lessons. Dan is a certified PSIA & USSA Ski Instructor for cross country skiing. Free demo roller skis are provided for each lesson.
