Hayward Area Ski Trail Association (HASTA) SWAP Saturday, November 11, 2017

Hayward Area Ski Trail Association (HASTA) invites one and all to come to our early season annual “SKI SWAP.” We cannot even remember how many years we have been doing this SWAP!! Our goal is for you to sell your silent sports equipment, clothing, bikes, skis, boats, and most anything for the outdoors you have. You can buy gently used new-to-you silent sports equipment, clothing, bikes, skis, boats, and more. Sorry, we still cannot sell downhill ski equipment.

The SWAP will be Saturday, November 11, 2017, at Hayward Weslyan Church, 10655 Hwy 77 W in Hayward, Wisconsin. Drop-off will start at 7:30 and go until 8:59 am, ONLY. The shopping time will start at 9:01 and continue until 11:00. Pick-up all unsold gear and/or cash at 11:01 until 11:30. HASTA will not be responsible for any money or items left after 11:31.

The new and improved three step check-in system works like this: at home 1) label your equipment, 2) make a clearly legible list on a 4x6 card, and 3) bring along this list of items on a 4x6 card(s) with you on Saturday. So, you will clearly label all your equipment at home with your name, an item number, and the price you want to sell your gear for. (Brown tape works fine!) Also, for any skis, write the weight range on the tape for the skis. Next, fill out your 4x6 card as follows: #1 at the top of your card print your FULL name and phone/cell phone number (where you CAN be reached on Saturday, November 11, 2017), #2 list or write out all your items and number each item 1 to whatever you have, and include a short description of each item and your price next to each listed item. If you need an example of the label and card system, send and email with HASTA in the subject line to [email protected] Remember that HASTA charges a 15% fee from the price you set.

All proceeds are directly re-circulated to support local cross-country ski trails. HASTA volunteers will be available to help set prices and select ski sizes. For additional SWAP information call Linda at 715-634-8079.

Nordic Kids -Nordic Kids leaders will have in information table at the SWAP between 9:00 am until 11:15. You must register online between November 11 – December 8, 2017, or until 150 kids have registered. All registration will be done online, but if you have questions, we will be at the HASTA Ski Swap at the Hayward Wesleyan Church on Saturday, November 11 from 9-11 a.m. Visit www.zapevent.com/reg/personalinfo/ to register. HASTA membership forms for the 2017-2018 ski season will be available at the SWAP or from [email protected] The SWAP will be the start of our new membership year. Everyone that enjoys the trails at Hayward Area Memorial Hospital and Water’s Edge Care Center is invited to join HASTA because HASTA grooms and maintains the ski and snowshoe trails at the Hospital.
