ABR Lodging   ABR has 60 km of groomed ski trails and another 10 km of seperate snowshoe trails. There are five rustic (ski in) cabins and two trailside houses: the River House, the Hilltop House, and the two River House Annexes. Afterglow Lake Resort   Afterglow ski trails are known for amazing grooming. Less known: 12 winterized cottages on the private lake with fireplaces and full kitchens are for rent. Winter activities include: 8 miles of marked snowshoe trails, broomball games, lighted ice skating, tubing hill, polar plunge, large indoor rec room, sauna and outdoor fire pit. One stop winter retreat. Bearskin Lodge   Bearskin Lodge is located 26 miles up the Gunflint Trail on the edge of East Bearskin Lake amongst the pristine wilderness of the Minnesota's Northwoods. Cabins and lodge suites available, with direct access to the Central Gunflint trail system. Bluefin Bay   Bluefin Bay is located along the northwest shore of Lake Superior, surrounded by the spectacular Superior National Forest. It is the center of countless opportunities for recreation and enjoyment all year round, including access to outstanding fishing, hiking, golf, and skiing. Bluefin provides access to over 250 km of groomed and tracked cross country ski trails winding through the Sawtooth Mountains above Lake Superior. Cascade Lodge   Cascade Lodge is located in the midst of Cascade River State Park overlooking Lake Superior. Closely connected to the Superior Hiking Trail, plus miles of trails in the Cascade River State Park, Cascade Lodge provides access to over 51km of ski trails, with several km winding by the nearby Cascade Creek. Heartwood Conference Center & Resort   The Heartwood Conference Center and Resort is surrounded by 700 acres of woods and prairie in northwestern Wisconsin and provides accommodations for both large and small groups. Heartwood grooms over 25K of cross country ski trails for both classic and skate skiing with a diverse selection of trails and terrain. Lutsen Resort on Lake Superior   Located just 90 minutes north of Duluth along Lake Superior's Scenic North Shore, Lutsen Resort on Lake Superior continues a tradition of warm hospitality. Occupying the site of Swedish immigrant Charles Axel Nelson's homestead, the resort provides spectacular views of everchanging Lake Superior with a mountain playground in its backyard. Maplelag Resort   Maplelag is a destination cross-country ski resort and conference center located in NW Minnesota. More than a dozen of their unique cabins, including a "switch yard" with two converted sleeping cabooses, stand within the maple-basswood climax forest next to Little Sugarbush Lake. Expertly groomed, private trails extend for 60km through the woods surrounding Maplelag. National Forest Lodge   Historic lodge located in the heart of the Superior National Forest. Rustic cabins and a modern log home on Lake Gegoka, surrounded by tall red and white pine. Ski weekends include all lodging and meals. Cross country ski over 30k of groomed classic trails - in and out. Also 8K marked snowshoe trails and one of the few outdoor hot tubs around. Rainbow Resort   Rainbow Resort is located in northwestern Minnesota on the northern boundary of the Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge and just 1/2 hour from Itasca State Park. Their 20K of private skiing trails are groomed for both skating and classic technique, and range from easy to quite challenging. Solbakken Resort   Solbakken Resort offers pet friendly cabins and lodging, as well as cross country ski and snowshoe rentals on Lake Superior's north shore in Minnesota near hiking and ski trails.
