Garage Sale Benefit for Olympic Biathlon Hopeful Dan Campbell


Dan Campbell is 23 years old, he 
graduated from Hastings High School in 1996.  He is a member of MN Biathlon 
and has been training for biathlon races for the past 8 years.  He will be 
trying out for the US Olympic Biathlon Team the first week of January 2002 in 
Salt Lake City.  Dan is currently ranked 10th in the country in Biathlon.  

  The sale is going to be taking place Saturday, July 14th, from 8-4 in the 
Hastings Middle School parking lot.  The middle school is located right on 
the corner of Hwy 61 (or Vermillion St) and 10th St.  People coming from the 
north, south, or east just need to get on Hwy 61 and take that through 
Hastings, the parking lot runs right up to the road.  If people are coming 
from the west they can take Hwy 55 west to Hwy 61, go north on Hwy 61 about 1 
block and the parking lot is on the right, there should be signs posted 
around town to help find the middle school as well.  In the case of rain we 
will still be having the sale it will just be moved into the middle school 
gym.

Alumni, and friends and family of Dan Campbell.  

What to expect at the sale: 
Anything and Everything!!  If people are interested in donating an item for 
the sale or have any questions about the sale they can contact me, Pat 
Lorentz at (651) 437-6294.  Any items we do not sell will go to the Goodwill 
or the Salvation Army and any items left after that will be properly disposed 
of.  All proceeds from the sale will go directly to the Dan Campbell training 
fund.  If the weather allows we will have the sale outside and hopefully have 
food, drink(non-alcholic), and music.
