Logged in reverse chronological order ------------------------------------- There is nothing more aggrivating, and down right infuriating than accidentally skiing over a dogs pile of sh**. The point of a snowmobile trail is for snowmobiles. The point of a sidewalk is for walking. The point of a groomed ski trail is for skiing. To satisify skiers with dogs create a dedicated "loop de poop". For snowshoers provide seperate trails as the crampons manufactures produce are much more aggressive than needed for recreational use. Isn't that what groomed ski trails are for? Skiers only. This is a matter of safety for all participants. In other countries the local trail systems have separate tracks for skiers and others. What i do not like is the winners who say a dog distroys the trail, bull ever see deer digging for food, unlike most men my dog peas off trail! I like nothing better than taking my dog skiing with me on the birkie trail mid-week when hardly anyone else is out there. Weekends it is to crowded. If we allowed all these other users on the groomed trails, they'd no longer be groomed, would they? Unless we pay to groom the trails five times a day While skiing the birkie trail I have always dreamed How much fun it would be to drive my snowmobile on it groom different trails for multiple use If walkers want to help pay for the grooming fee, but dogs should never be allowed. This pole only proves that the skiers only are simply self serving and egotistical and should learn to be more giving and caring like skijorers with t [cut off] separate trails should be available for other sports. I don't advocate skijoring on all ski trails, only certain designated trails or, like Snowflake in Duluth, only at designated times. Mountain Bikes !! why do hikers walk on the tracks of a classic trail instead of along them when there is plenty of room? of course in certain conditions non-skiers wouldn't hurt the skate tracks too badly, but its better to restrict *groomed* trails to skiers only Depends on style - skate or stride
