Chippewa Triathlon 2012
The 2012 Chippewa Triathlon will take place in the Chippewa National Forest near Cass Lake, MN on Saturday, June 9th. The (roughly) 50 mile event combines paddling and portaging followed by a mountain bike course and finally a run of about 7 miles. Each year a handful of hearty souls complete the event "solo" but larger numbers participate as "doubles" with two paddlers sharing the canoe leg and then each completes the balance of the event on their own. Also, there are a good number of "relay" teams that split up the events and course in a multitude of segments.

The event is designed as a personal challenge for participants with a wide range of athletic abilities, all set in the scenic north woods of Cass County. Spaghetti feed and race packet pick up Friday evening. Post race feed for participants at the finish line on the beautiful sandy shores of Cass Lake.
