Skinnyski.com High School Rankings - Week 2
December 17, 2012Commentary
With the first full week of high school racing under our belts, we’ve done the first round of adjustments.
Eden Prairie boys confirmed their top ranking with a victory over Hopkins. Forest Lake boys are looking like they’re geared up to make a run at the title this season, scoring well when their full team is racing. Eden Prairie girls also look to have reloaded for this season, skiing solid in a narrow loss to Wayzata. Ely girls slide out of the top five to make room for Eden Prairie. Roseville girls also looked good in the first week, especially considering they were without star Niki Reker.
Alayna Sonnesyn defended her top ranking in a close shave with Sarah Benton -- Benton moves up to 4th. Tom Bye moves up, showing results of some good summer training. Sean Bjork and youngster Zak Ketterson both move up as well with some excellent results.
Holiday Relays this weekend will provide a good opportunity to shine in some head-to-head battles, both for individuals and teams.
Expect another round of shakeups next week...
