State Meet Update

A few reminders as we head towards the state meet. Remember to get your academic awards information in to Fred Kueffer by February 10th. The forms can be found on our website http://www.mshsca.org/nordicski/

Pete Tremaine and Anoka will be running the Charlie Banks Relay again this year. The entry form is available on our website. The event will be limited to 40 boys teams and 40 girls teams. The event will take place on Wednesday February 13, 2013. Bib pick-up and coaches meeting will take place at 12:00 and the first race will begin at 1:00. Each team must provide a volunteer to help with the race. The race will not start until all volunteer spots are filled. Submit entries to Steve’s Timing at http://www.boreal.org/~durfee/ by Monday February 11th 2013.

Mike Hecker has agreed to put a slide show together for the banquet. Here are the guidelines to follow if you have a team or athletes that qualify for the State Meet and would like to be included; Small files only, JPEG only Participants must be in their high school issued gear. No USSA, USBA, Club Teams, etc. Send to: [email protected] Deadline: 8:00PM Saturday February 9, 2013 (NO EXCEPTIONS)

State Meet Coaches meeting will take place at 4:30 at Giant’s Ridge.

State meet Coaches’ Association Banquet will begin at 6:00pm. Tickets will be available first to state qualifying teams and individuals and their coaches before the meeting at 4:30. The remaining tickets will be made available to parents and others after the meeting.

Bob O’Hara is looking for help with course control at the state meet. Any coach that will be present at the State Meet but does not have a team or just a single individual and would like to volunteer as a course controller should e-mail their name/school to Bob O'Hara at [email protected] no later than Monday Feb 11 or see Bob or John Filander at Giants Ridge on Wed Feb 13.
