Northland Urban Sprints 2014

It was a balmy fifty degrees during the first annual Northland Urban Sprints. Top competitors from the area gathered to compete for the title of Urban Sprint Champion. The brutally difficult course featured a score of exceptionally challenging climbs, hairpin turns, and a treacherous downhill that tripped up more than one skier. Qualifiers began going out around 2:30pm, and heats started at about 2:45. The heats pitted skiers one-on-one with each other, and there were many questionable tactics used. Luckily, the only casualties were a broken ski and a few minor lacerations.

After all the snow had settled, Keaton Long claimed the men's victory, while Sophie Schuder took home the women's crown.
