Lester-Amity Chalet Clean-Up and Open House Information and Dates

The Friends of the Lester-Amity Chalet (FLAC), under the auspices of the Duluth XC Ski Club, would like to invite you to join us in cleaning the Lester- Amity Chalet building in preparation for our upcoming open house. Two clean-up events are scheduled, one on this Sunday, September 7th and next Sunday, September 14th, from 12 noon to 4 pm each day.

We will be trimming weeds and brush from the outside of the building, cleaning the interior, and disposing of accumulated trash. Participants are welcome to bring hand tools for brush and weed trimming, shop vacs and other cleaning tools for interior work. The City of Duluth will be providing a dumpster, cleaning supplies and a 1 ton truck for weed and brush disposal.

The Lester-Amity Chalet Open House will be held on Saturday and Sunday, September 20 and 21 from 11-3 each day.

The members of FLAC have been working in close coordination with the City of Duluth to open the Lester-Amity Chalet as a year round community building for skiers, Hawk Ridge visitors, hikers, mountain bikers, schools and other interested groups and individuals.

The Lester-Amity Chalet is located at 2940 Seven Bridges Rd, Duluth, MN 55804 on the Amity Creek side of the Lester River Ski Trails.
