Jessie Diggins at the Capitol April 12th - Battle Creek Winter Recreation Area

Olympic gold medalist, Jessie Diggins, is going to be recognized for her accomplishments at the State Capitol on Thursday April 12th at 3:30pm on the House of Representatives floor. In her earlier training days Jessie skied at Battle Creek Regional Park and has since appeared in a video voicing her support of the snow making project for Battle Creek. We would like to use this opportunity to show our support of the Battle Creek Winter Recreation Area project. We need anyone who is able to attend this ceremony to join us and show your support of the Battle Creek project on April 12th. We’ve been told that having cross country ski coaches and student athletes attend is very important. Be sure to wear your school colors and ski jackets!

We are able to set up meetings with your legislators ahead of the ceremony. If you can arrive between noon and 2:30 we can try to set up those meetings. We will need your address to match you with your legislator. If you can’t come early, be sure to contact your legislator and tell them how important the snowmaking at Battle Creek is to you.

We have room 3247 reserved at the Senate Office Building from noon to 5:00 for gathering and organizing. This building is across University Avenue from the Capitol. Please let me know if you are able to attend.
