Skied the outer (ridge) loop on a beautiful morning. Trails recently groomed; a very little bare earth showing here and there but easily avoided. Some short icy stretches but only on basically level sections. Uphills are fine and downhills are safe as of 11 am.

You name a skiing condition and its available at Tamarack, everything from perfect fluffy tracks to miserable icy ruts to brown ice, they've got it all! Things were still frozen hard when I was there. Perhaps there will be a few hours of wonderful conditions later today. My sincere thanks to the groomer, the conditions are good due to their talent. Only one section of bare ground under the trees on the north side, easily avoidable.

The classic tracks in some areas were washed out. Many people were out. Snow cover was great, but soft and slow.

We skied the icy trails at about freezing late afternoon. Tracks ranged from decent to treacherous with numerous meltdown spots. Mostly icy to glare ice with some good snow on a few short perpetually-shaded sections. Not much fun skiing - I mostly double-poled.

Quite nice conditions at about noon today. All trails have coverage and tracks are set. Icy spots do exist near the nature center under a couple of trees. There is the usual sort of leaves, pine cones, bark and whatever has blown off the trees in some sections. One or two places where the grooming hit the earth under the snow, these spots are easy to see and avoid.
