Wow! This is officially the latest I've ever skied into the spring! There's still some great snow to play on here and there's even some trails with good looking tracks set. The warm temps and sunshine are doing some work on the trails but I went out before 9 and it was pretty good. By late morning the skate lanes had definitely softened up! Winter Park is opening the gate at 8am this weekend for skiers to take advantage of the colder snow. The last grooming was done early Saturday morning (the 21st).

Started skiing around 10 am and found tracks to be in good shape. Due to rising temps, shade and sun, we experienced firm to soft tracks. Skate deck was OK, and we found striding on it better than the tracks. But, for mid April, we were glad we were still there. Great blue sky ski day!

Trails were groomed(rolled?) this morning. Skate skiing was slow, but enjoyable. Classic skiers seemed to be zipping along quite nicely. Hitting all groomed trails yielded around 20 k.

Great skiing this morning, classic tracks are holding up great and skate lanes were re-groomed this morning. They plan to be open through the weekend with grooming as snow and conditions allow. Ski shop and chalet open 10-5 through Sunday.

I raced up north after this latest snowfall event (blizzard). I was able to ski Monday afternoon and specifically this Tuesday morn. Enough of the trails were groomed to offer plenty of variety, but the 1-2" of snow Monday night made the skate track a bit of a tough sled. The classic tracks were still firm enough however and were in spectacular mid-winter form. There was very little detritus on the trail even with the high winds. They expect skiing through this weekend. Do yourself a favor and get in the best late season skiing you will ever find. Epic.

Around 13 k groomed. A little soft but doable for skating, understandable with yesterday's snow storm. Classic tracks we're good.

Made a trip to winter park, found amazing- mid winter conditions with groomed and tracked - couldn't ask for better conditions! Get out and enjoy. They will continue to groom as long as conditions allow-looks like may be skiing in May this year!

Unbelievable conditions for April. Huge thanks to the Winter Park and the groomers, 10/10. Our best skiing of the year. Hope it holds for one more day for those who can get out to enjoy the trails.

Perfect ski conditions for classic and skate. Classic tracks were freshly set, very firm. No bare spots.
