No grooming, but the trails never close. We have an amazing amount of snow on the around. People are still skiing and snowshoeing the trails.

Grooming
[ Trails: Closed, Good skis ]
We are in the midst of the largest snowfall of the winter. However, we have decided to discontinue grooming for this season. The warming house will remain open for at least a few more days. You may ski or snowshoe on the trails as long as the snow lasts, which could be awhile, but it will be ungroomed.

The skate deck was groomed tonight to firm it up for the weekend. About 8 km are groomed for classic and skating for this weekend. Enjoy the endless winter!

Afternoon

Skated trails around noon. The trail was soft powder snow but freshly groomed. Classic tracks were good but slow. Some of south hills were warm and packing down. Nice April day on the trails.

Grooming

We just did our first ever April grooming! The Engagement Loop and Short Loop (approximately 8 km) are groomed for skating and classic. We have a deep snow base and expect it to last awhile.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
Snow is in progress. With the cold weather in the forecast, we are planning to groom the Engagement Loop and Short Loop on Wednesday morning to extend the ski season. This will be the first time we have ever groomed in April. Enjoy the late skiing.

Classic skiers dream. Deep dual track. Unfortunately I only had skate skis. Could use another pass with groommer as deck is soft and skis sank two plus inches with every stride. I mostly double poles in the classic tracks as much as I could. Plenty of snow!

Mid-winter conditions. The skate deck is soft, and the tracks are pretty good. Overall a lot of happy skiers out here on this April Sunday. Happy Easter!

[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Mid-winter conditions on about 10K of expertly groomed skate deck and dual classic tracks. Skied the classic tracks and it looked like the skate deck was perfect too! This could be the last chance to get some good K's in and the conditions are great. Much closer to the Twin Cities than the Birkie trail for a end-of-season trip.
