Received an email from Wausau Nordic ski club today. The county will not be doing any additional grooming this season. It went on to say people are welcome to backcountry ski or snowshoe but its on your own.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
I drove up from Milwaukee for a ski weekend and it was worth it. They had the 6k loop groomed as well as the Cookie loop. I did various versions forwards and backwards and made the most of the shortened trail. Conditions were great for skating. I used rock skis, as I wasn't sure what to expect, but could have used good ones.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
As per other posts, 9 Mile was groomed after the recent dump. I arrived at noon and found 2 new inches of champagne powder on top of the fairly soft skate deck. I bushwacked the 6 K loop and as I finished that loop I discovered the groomer had been out on other trails. Looks like they were grooming all the open trails for the weekend. Chalet is closed so ski free! Thanks 9 Mile and Marathon County.

Nine Mile reopens! 10 inches of snow is now packed and tracked. Great tracks for any time in winter The 6k loop, lighted loops, and trail Y are all excellent. The chalet will remain closed.

Trails were done this morning....skate deck and track. M to T and T in from there, Y, and also the lit trail were done. Tracks were good, deck was soft yet. Should be better once it sets up. Not bad for April 4th.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
Conditions have deteriorated over the weekend. Leo's loop and the south end of the 20K are closed. All other trails have ice and some bare spots. The best bet for some skiing at this point are to go out on Y and return on T.
