Fabulous spring skiing on this beautiful, well maintained trail system. An overnight dusting of fresh snow combined with recent grooming for superb conditions. The crust skiing was an added bonus.

Our first time to ski here, parked at the nice Chalet. It was 16 degrees when we started, the trails are classic only. Quite a big hill to go down to start the River trail loop. It was pretty icy but we made it down and enjoyed the trail along the creek. The trails were clear of debris and in most spots were double tracked. We thought they were well marked. We wish we would have taken the short cut and not done the mud lake loop as it was very windy and cold out there,must be a clear cut area. We enjoyed skiing there, it looks like you could avoid the big downhill near the parking lot if you take the green loop but I really like the trail. Chalet is warm, has places to sit and wax skis. Indoor plumbing.

Perfect conditions and grooming. 32" snow depth in the woods. 4" of new snow. It doesn't get any better than this.

The Keweenaw has had 130" of snow this season, and trails are in pristine condition. Maasto Hiihto was freshly groomed this morning with a great classic track. What a beautiful, scenic trail. Skis like a dream.

Its hard to imagine a better ski day. Temps in the 20s, some snow, some sun and not too much wind. We were the first skiers after the groomers made a beautiful track through the Maasto Hiihto/Churning Rapids ski area. A nice firm track was made with the nearly foot of snow which fell here in the last few days. Even some of the smaller trails were rolled for bikers. If you're in the area, don't miss these trails.

Snow and wind today. Several inches additional snow on top of refrozen base made for great "classic" skiing, the way we skied before grooming. Much of the old tracks were covered by continuing snow. Very scenic in valley along the river. Very good day to tackle the steep hill down to the valley.
