Starts on north end of Mankato near HWY 14 and 22. Heads Northwest for about 40 miles to Faribault. Mostly flat and open. Good safe trail. (Submitted by Brian Koeneman) Pros: Safe and lightly travelled. Services available in Elysian, Waterville, Madison Lake. Trail travels thru State Park forest area near Waterville. Goes all the way to Faribault. Cons: Exposed to wind. A few gravel road crossings.
