Take County Hwy B 18 miles east of Hayward to S. Turn left on S and park next to the National Forest sign. Ski on S about 6 miles to Moose Lake Road. Turn right and start a long, gradual climb. The pavement ends 6 miles from the bridge. (Submitted by Sue Backman) Pros: This is a 12 mile stretch of new pavement that rolls along the Chippewa River. There are some nice climbs and very little traffic. In the middle of the summer we saw more runners, bikers, in-line skaters, and roller skiers than cars.
