Classic skied today through a light coating of snow, making for a soft, smooth ski. Now if I only would've used the right wax..

Grooming
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Very good! Skate deck is starting to level out bit better than the last few weeks.
Groomed the trail Wednesday. The skate deck is starting to shape up and the tracks are in good condition as well. As I was grooming, we did receive about a half inch of snow, so it did cover up some of the small debris from the winds. Be careful on the downhill runs.

Grooming Scheduling
[ Bare ground ]
Conditions: Backcountry Skiing.
Currently in the process of clearing the trail. We have cleared and rolled the first 2.5 miles of trail on the outer loop. Currently it is an out and back trail. We will continue our clearing efforts and try to get the trail open and skiable as soon as possible.
The Great Divide Ranger District is looking for volunteer to help clear the trail of the small saplings to expedite grooming operations. If you would like to help out please contact Chad Jacobson at the USFS Glidden Office at 715-264-2511.
