The tracks are well-set but have a lot of debris on them which makes them draggy, but they're also iced up so kicking was a struggle in some spots. Sections that were free of debris were wonderful and fast. I was on my A skis and was worried about my bases is some places due to grass showing through tracks (only two or three spots on whole blue loop). Overall really nice day for skiing and well-groomed trails!

I skied out from the smrekar shelter on the central, north, red oak, norway pine, and the south and it was awesome today. I skied pretty much the same thing last weekend and it is amazing what a little snow and a fresh grooming can make. There was a little debris on the central return to smrekar lot, but it was a beautiful ski today, best conditions I've skied locally all year.

I parked at the Wildcat lot and skied the Norway Pine and Wildcat. These are challenging trails with lots of hills. However, they are just a bit narrower than I would prefer for skating. There were a number of areas with debris but they were easily skied around. The skate deck was firm and a little icy in a few spots. Conditions were good to very good. The downhills were fast but control was pretty good. I crossed the road and skied the entire Central loop entering on the north loop. There was actually more debris skiing down to the shelter than there was on the Norway Pine and Wildcat. However, skiing back to the Wildcat lot was fast and fun.

Classic skied south, central, north, red oak, and wild cat. Groomed and track set in all, however there are a few areas that basically didn't hold/take. Some bare spots and areas where there is quite a bit of debris from downed pine limbs. It is crusty and fast, but considering the year we are having weather wise I was happy to have this much ski-able distance. Overall - good to okay conditions. NOTE - The north loop is probably the one to skip of the trails I did.

Skied Central, North, Red Oak and Wildcat on a perfect afternoon. The classic tracks were excellent and great snow conditions. These are truly spectacular trails.

Skied almost all the loops. My first time there... If you have never skied the BRSF you have to. It's beautiful and fun to ski. Conditions were great for classic. Some narrow spots for skating. Deep base, few sticks or leaves, branches had been removed.

The forest was refreshing today! Skated Central, North, and South trails. Ridge was not groomed yet. Classic track not set on North. Still numerous branches on the trail, but most are avoidable. Narrow trail in spots make it impossible to stay off the classic track. Shallow (2-3") was soft, causing sinking and reducing glide. Groomer did a decent job and I appreciate they cut back a few low hanging, snow-covered branches. Waxing now and going again tomorrow; hoping cold temps solidify the base a bit.

Very speedy. Stopped frequently to get branches, sticks, a rare leaf off the tracks area. Track is very shallow in some spots, but tracks mostly intact and visible. Better than I thought it would be. Thank you groomers! I just skied the beginners loop.

Classic skied Central and North. Trails have been partially rolled and are now wind swept with a light layer of snow on top. There was only about 4 inches of snow in the area, so with the trails groomed it is thin. Could see some grasses breaking through but with the wind swept snow it was ok gliding over it or just ski around it. Overall not great, but you can ski it classic but skate would be difficult.
