Eagle Lake Regional Park
Plymouth, MN
Trail Length: 6km  Maps: |
Groomed: Skating/Classical    Lighted: No Snowmaking: No
Contact: 763-694-7695    Weather: [ NWS ]
Notes:   The trail is located about two blocks West of Hwy 169 on Bass Lake Rd. Overall this is a nice little gem. The terrain is very gentle and seems an ideal place for a family with small children or beginner skiers.

It felt like the middle of winter this morning at Eagle Lake. There was still good snow coverage. Skiing in the people made tracks brings back good memories from the early 70's! It was a beautiful April morning!

I made my own tracks at Eagle Lake this morning. The snow was dry on top and made for some nice skiing with waxable skis. The wind was definitely a factor today with my tracks already blown over the second time around in the open areas! Looks like some April skiing coming up!

Skied Pike Lake and Eagle Lake trails this afternoon. Very good condition, best this year and as good as it has been in a few years to my recollection. A little soft but perfectly groomed and no bare spots.

Classic skied both the Pike Lake and Eagle Lake loops this evening. Tracks set on both loops. A little grass poking through in a few spots but overall was really nice. Fun to ski some place other than Elm Creek.

Pike Lake trail is fair to good. Beginning is fair because trail is thin at golf driving range area due to blown snow and some grass. Wooded part of the trail by the Lake was good, plenty of snow. Eagle Lake trail was good to very good, plenty of snow and nicely groomed. Had the whole park to myself, to my surprise.
