A wonderful Underdown day. Skied blue loop. Soft new snow on top of nice track. Other striders skied it in ahead of us = very good trails for us. Reliable tracks on most downhills. Very nice snow for snowplowing when necessary. Somebody with a 4-wheel drive vehicle "trashed" part of the blue trail right before Horn Lake Rd., and ruts continued on Horn Lake Rd. Had to take skis off to walk between 1/8 to 1/4 mile past worst parts.

Very good to excellent conditions. Super firm base, somewhat abrasive so holding kick wax was a challenge, but really nice overall.

Great conditions. Everything is groomed perfectly. Hopefully warm weather won't mess things up too much.

Excellent conditions for classic and outstanding grooming. Joanie and I skied the 18K blue loop, plus the 5K green loop. One of our favorite places for classic skiing in the state.

Absolutely excellent. The trails are in as good of shape as I've ever seen them. The right track was firm and fast. Sections of the left track were a little soft but still well set and should improve with more folks skiing and compressing them.

Skied three laps on the Green trail this morning and conditions couldn't have been finer. A new track was probably set this Thursday or Friday and it is in great shape with little or no debris in them. Due to the fact that temps have not allowed a decent freeze/thaw cycle, the track were a tad soft, without that icy, your-life-flashes-before-your-eyes glaze that the hills at UD are known for. Still, awesome skiing. Green allowed me to stride all but the steepest hills and the downhills brought big smiles. Bring your A race skis and don't miss this one. Best conditions in several years.
