Skated the red loop Monday. Snow cover was good almost everywhere but lots of bumps, some due to hiker bootprints especially up by the tower. Tracks would have been just "ok" for classical.

Tracks were best on the North loop near the tower. Tracks were thin in a few spots on the West end easily avoided by striding on the skate deck. Pleasure to be out.

Broke trail thru 3 inches of dry snow on a crusty base. A beauty of a day with 31 degree temps and blue sky, but tough striding.

Skied all the trails this afternoon and the tracks, while not groomed since the new snow fell Friday night, were good - except the northwest section along the power lines and the southeast section by the shelter that were icy.

Trails were very good this morning and were last groomed earlier this week but not since the 3" of new snow Friday night. I think the trails will hold up well after this weekends warm spell as there is a good base - more so then Peninsula State Park where I classic skied yesterday.

Beautiful! 12" of powder. Classic green loop ungroomed - we set new track. Skate loops ungroomed. Natures beauty totally groomed.
