I skied out at Beaver Brook Thursday, the trails are in very good shape, with just an occasional thin spot. The current grooming offers good coverage, control, and the tracks are firm.

Trails were groomed yesterday, the tracks are deep and the trail is level. The new snow is providing good coverage and skiers will find good control. There are a few shallow spots in the tracks, but they are easily avoided.

This afternoon, I stopped by to check out the Beaver Brook ski trails. The trails still have a good base with good coverage, the tracks are shallow, and there is about an inch of new snow on top of an icy base. The trails appear to be very firm and skiers should use caution as the control on the hills and corners will be a challenge.

Very good to excellent stride/classic skiing can be found at Beaver Brook Trails. There is very good coverage and the trails are level and have firm tracks. During warm weather, skiing in the mornings and evenings could be better. Dogs are also allowed on the trails.

East side. The first .5k through the bridge is uneven and the snow was running fast - a little unsettling. Most of the trail was very pleasant. There are a lot of gentle descents that go around blind curves, but the trail is very predictable with no surprises around the corners, and the few steeper descents are short and have a good runout. Lots of animal tracks - mostly deer.

Went on the east side trails, they are decent, a little bit ruined though from hikers and snowshoers. Overall they are good though. A few sticks, but nothing major for debris.

I skied this classic only trail on the west side. The track is deep although a bit soft when I started. It could use more traffic. The track seemed to be stiffening up as I came off the trail around 5 pm. Touring pole baskets did most of that work, not the tips. The west side is a series of rollers and generally easy hills. By the map it's a bit over 15k. The trail has a map at every intersection! I took the B woodies to go slow. There is one downhill going north that ends at a closed gate. I did not try to shoot the gap between the post and the tree...You can see it well before arrival. On the road section, I took the left track to start, then moved right. Yes, there is a double tracked road that has had a vehicle on it. There is a well managed hardwood forest on this far north section. Then there was the woodpecker. The sun had set so light was even but dimming. It was a "nothing" downhill with a slight turn skiing south. I turned the corner and there's a pile of small wood chips all over the track. No chance to adjust. There was a lurch but no crash as the klister (Toko Base Binder) grabbed wood. I suggest your slowest set of skis for the either trail. Go slow and enjoy this narrow, scenic two track and sometimes single track. Bring the dog. Start from Cranberry Road. Park at the East trail head (not plowed) and walk a short distance to the West trail head. Take the right fork each time. Snowmobile noise was minimal on the nearby trail. The silence was profound at times.

We skied last night using headlamps. Over the past few days, the area has received about 10-12 inches of new snow. Last night, a new 4-5 inch deep track was set for classic skiing. The new snow is providing a great base, excellent control, the trail is level. Skiers should find excellent conditions.
