Only the Snowman and Pincushion loops had been groomed after the Friday snow of a few inches. No classic tracks. Skating was great, a bit slow as temps were around freezing, but wonderful to be out this time of year. Thanks to all the groomers whose efforts made for a great year.

Craig and I classic skied North Advanced, Canyon Curves and Pincushion Loop this morning. A little depris under the pines in a few spots, but the deck and track are in great condition. Nice track placement on Pincushion Loop. Kudos to our dream team groomers: Jim, Chris, Charlie and Bob.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
For some of you, sorry about the Birkie. Put in some of those K's at Pincushion, the trails are groomed and ready. Discussion: We have survived temps just short of 50 degrees and an inch and a half of rain. The base hung tough and we have enough snow to start getting our trails back into shape. The snow is crystalline and there are a few ice patches and low spots, but we can ski. Grooming Report: We have been working the trails with a combination of Pisten Bully tiller and Ginzu Groomer to work out some of the rough spots. In general the skating deck is in fine condition, classic tracks are fair but generally skiable. East and West Overlooks, Snowmen, and Lynn's Loop have all been tracked and combed. Pincushion Mountain base has gotten a bit thin but it is still skiable. The short interior trails, Ole Hyvaa and Hilfiker have been groomed for skating but no classic -- skiable, but caution is advised. North Advanced is groomed along with Canyon Curves and the skiing should be decent. This is not mid-season skiing, please use caution conditions can be quite fast. Be safe and enjoy your skiing.

We just had our best ski of the year at Pincushion this morning. It was perfection for both the classic tracks and the skate deck! The Pin has some of the best trails in the state for hills and scenery---and plenty of snow! Hats off to the grooming crew for regrooming all the trails so soon after their race day yesterday. Excellent grooming!

Conditions continue to look great for tomorrows race here at Pincushion. Still very good hard wax skiing here. I used Start RF red (23-30F) and it worked quite well. Should be similar conditions tomorrow, with temps in the low to mid 20's.

Excellent conditions here on the Pincushion Trails, and should be great for the ski race this Sunday. Grooming is ongoing to get the trails in tiptop shape for the races. We have had over 10" of new snow in the last 4 days, and looking at more snow tonight. Should be fantastic with race day temps predicted to be in the high 20's. We have very good coverage, so don't be shy about bringing your good skis! Online registration is available until 5PM this Friday and registration is available at Pincushion on the morning of the race. Hope to see everyone there!

3 inches of fresh snow from the prior day had yet to be groomed. Classic skied all the trails, breaking trail and skiing in other skiers tracks. Beautiful sunny day with mid teens temps made for a great ski. Just the right amount of snow to make breaking trail fun and not work.

It was excellent skiing. The tracks were great. I skied Lower Snowman, Upper Snowman, B&B Loop, West Overlook, and East Overlook. It was not very busy. They built some fun jumps to ski on in the stadium. The sun was out and it was a lot of fun.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We survived the warm spell and our trails came through fine. We do not groom during warm and soft snow conditions, and it was worth waiting. The entire system is fully groomed for both classic and skate. The skate deck is in good shape and classic tracks are newly set.

Track was set beautifully, ground up after the melt and perfect corduroy by afternoon. Some trails open. Fast, hard track. Advanced trails not groomed for classic at that time, but those which were groomed were speedy and perfect.
