Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Three miles of upland trails near the nature center have been packed and track set attempted. These include segments of the Blue and Red trails, all of the Green loop. About 4-5 inches of snow provided just enough to get the trails back in shape for this weekend. Sun is melting surface today, however should freeze hard tonight.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Was able to re-groom this morning on the upland trails near the nature center. Tracks are set on those trails. We were also able to pack the snowshoe and walking trails, plus pack the sledding hill. All of the Green trail and Exploring Habitats trail is groomed, sections of the Blue and Red are also ready.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Sections of the trails around the nature center have been packed for last minute skiing. No tracks are set. The wetlands are thawing so several sections of trail are underwater. The Green loop and trails that connect to it on high ground near the nature center are the ones packed. Snow will likely just last this weekend. Evening events on Friday and Saturday are cancelled due to the weather and trail flooding.

Afternoon
Observation
[ Trails Open: Most ]
Trails are melting fast due to the 50 degree temps. Ski trails are packed and you can still see ski tracks. Oak leaves and twigs are on the trails due to the winds. Likely today and Saturday are the last days the trails will be open to skiing, unless new snow arrives.

Afternoon
Observation
[ Trails Open: All ]
Currently all trails are open and snow covered, however with warm weather conditions may change fast. Trails were hard / icy this morning, a bit softer under the sun this afternoon. Lots of oak leaves and twigs down due the wind.

Evening
Firsthand: Classic
[ B skis ]
Pleasantly skiable for classic on the candlelight ski night. Tracks had a bit of glaze at times and a good amount of leaves. Still, found enough kick and loved the evening.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Ski trails inspected today. Traditional tracks are in good shape, a icy spots and some thin / bare spots on southern exposures. Skate ski lane in good shape, volunteers resurfaced for the weekend. Some new corduroy and popcorn snow due to the resurfacing. Looks nice. Firm and fast. Candlelight ski / snowshoe events this Friday and Saturday from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Light will be on the sledding hill also. Rentals and refreshments available at the nature center.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skated everything today. Trails overall firm and fast and in good shape. No ice issues. Classic tracks look good except for a couple thin spots and oak leaves that can easily be skied around. Just hope as it warms up the hikers can stay off the trails. Thanks for all your hard work on the trails.
