Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Classic skied most of the trails in the Upper Gunflint network over the weekend. Conditions were close to perfection. Beautiful views of Gunflint Lake and across to the Canadian shore. Snow on every branch. Lots of varied terrain and ups and downs. Very well groomed.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Good, recently groomed with a dusting of new snow.
We skied the Highland and Ham Lake trails this afternoon. Lots of snow and the grooming was excellent. The earlier wet snow is still clinging to just about every tree branch, making it a winter wonderland.

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Fresh snow (about a 12 inch base), good fluffy snow for skiing!
Traveled to Gunflint Lodge and stayed this past Wednesday through Saturday in one of the cabins. During this time, I skied the Big Pine, Little Pine, West End, Highlands, Ham Lake, Aspen Alley, River, Overlook, and Rabbit Run trails. Overall, all trails are in great condition! There were some soft spots on the Highlands and Ham Lake Trails; otherwise, conditions are great for skiing around the Gunflint Lake area! Had a wonderful time!
