What a great weekend for the Pilot Knob Ski Race. The trail groomed up very well and the temperatures were in the 20's. Thank you to all who raced and volunteered!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
We survived the warm temperatures on Monday and Tuesday thanks to good snow coverage. The skate deck was lightly groomed this morning when it was about 27 degrees. This afternoon it was hard packed and slightly icy. Plans are to have two Ginzu groomers going Friday evening to chew it up and have good skating conditions for Saturday's race. We'll see what we get for classic tracks.

With at least 10" of new snow this week the trail conditions are shaping up quite nicely! It's great to have real snow to work with instead of just doing our best with the old ice/snow mixtures this month. With a warm day in the forecast Monday then some cold nights the rest of the week we should have some ideal conditions for the Pilot Knob Ski Race on February 4th.

The skating portion of the road was rejuvenated this morning and conditions were super! I recommend using B-skis because of the occasional stick buried in the snow thanks to the Christmas day wind storm. The classic tracks were not new because of the hard pack conditions but looked to be fairly decent overall.
