After almost 2 feet of snow in the Colorado high country, our groomer Shawn has turned Snow Mt. into Skier Nirvana. Most trails are groomed for classic and skate, and more should be ready for the Martin Luther King weekend. Come join us for skiing, snow shoeing and fat biking! Weather is supposed to be mild with little or no wind. More snow in the forecast.

Conditions are excellent! We had 15-24" of fresh powder over the last 48 hours. The base now varies from 15-42" depending on elevation on the system. 60 K was rolled, tilled, combed, and track set in the last 12 hours. Fat bike trails are all sled packed. Conditions for the weekend classic races and dog sled races will be perfect. The low on the system this morning was -31F. It will be teens today and twenties over the weekend.... full on sun! Enjoy Winter!

Great conditions for skate skiing today. Groomer caught up with the wind from yesterday and nearly every trail was packed and tracked. Would've been great for classic as well.

Skied a 15 km sampling of the snow mountain trail system-sometimes ahead of the groomer, sometimes behind. Blowing snow wiped out tracks within a half hour. Still, setting your own tracks in 2 inches of newly fallen snow with snow covered trees all around is quite the Christmas treat. Settling winds should make for near perfect ski conditions tomorrow.

The new snow over the last few days has made for some great mid-winter conditions for both skate and classic, plenty of fresh corduroy for your A skis, just a few moose tracks. Classic tracks are a little soft in some spots but overall excellent skiing.
