Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Bare ground ]
Conditions: Good cover, +28F, sunny morning. Rocks starting to show on south-facing hills on the Red.
ICY fast skating now in the mornings. Good to have stiff hard pack skis.
Lots of crust/snow plow down hill for this old fellow. It was easy to avoid the few rocks poking out.

Grooming
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Crisp and cold at 0 degrees -- 3" fresh snow on the trails.
Groomed all trails today, both skate lane and classic tracks. Should set up nicely tonight with the cold temps forecast. All trails in good condition! Finally have mid season snow depths with only a few pesky rocks on the Red Trail ridges popping through.

Grooming
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: 4" of new snow on Monday-Tuesday was rolled and groomed Wednesday. Another inch or so Thursday was rolled for skating this morning. All sections are in good shape.
I rolled early today after skating yesterday and wondering why the groomers hadn't touched up the new snow. Well, now it's done. I skipped the cutovers - sorry..... needed coffee.

Grooming
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Nice new snow over the weekend made for good grooming skate and classic tracks.
We skipped the roller and went with the Tidd leading the Ginzu - there was a lot of snow! All trails are in good condition - the second Blue Hills trail is still closed - but as always be on the lookout for pesky rocks on the Red Trail ridges.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic Grooming
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: New snow! Cold! All trails in good shape. Rolled and then groomed for skate and classic on monday.
Skied yesterday in below zero - beautiful! I rolled on Monday morning and fellow groomers did the rest later in the day. Most sections are very good, however cover on the ridges of Red Trail is still thin and uneven from lack of snow. Note we have not opened the hilliest of the "Blue Hills" trails but the newest section from there to the main Orange trail is open and in good shape.

Grooming
[ B skis ]
Conditions: Overall very good - still some uneven sections but snow coverage is good. 4 to 6 inches of new snow in the past 3 days.
We groomed all sections this morning for skate and classic and opened the newest of our Blue Trail additions. That new Blue section is bumpy and uneven but will come along fine with the next snowfall. The first "Blue Hills" trail is tracked but lots of sticks in the trail. The second hilly section is not open.

Grooming
Conditions: A couple of inches of new snow over the past few days. Classic tracks are OK but rocks showing on ridges, especially on Red Trail. Skate lane is nice.
Rolled the skate lane on all trails except the Blue Hills sections which are still closed.
Blue Trail flat sections are very nice; the hill beyond the shelter on the Blue is still bad - I'd walk that one.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ B skis ]
Conditions: Track set on all sections - thin over rocks and ridges. Flats getting level.
Groomed all sections except the Blue Hills for skate and classic on Friday after a couple of inches of snow. Skied Saturday in minus 5 and tracks are pretty good but some rocks showing on the Red and ridges. The Green trail is now leveled out.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ B skis ]
Conditions: Actually very nice. A few rocks on the ridges. Blue Hill Trail still closed.
Rolled and set corduroy on all trails except Blue Hills yesterday. Skied today and found the newly groomed Blue delightful- but watch out on the first little hill marked "caution" because rocks cannot be seen until it is too late. All the flat sections are good and fast today. Red is also OK but be cautious on hills.
