Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Grimm Farm was very good for skating; just some gravel/dirt coming thru on two of the longer climbs. Classic track seemed pretty consistent. King was good to fair; heavily traveled and packed until cutoff to nature center, lots of gravel, dirt and grass showing on far western side of the trail. Classic track washed out on far western edge. The hill by the King overlook didn't appear to be groomed. I used the bypass as a consequence. Used FastWax Yellow LF.
Lots of cars in the parking lot but only met 5 on either Grimm Farm and King. Except for some gravel or dirt on the climb from the lake and the hill as you reached the highway at the northeastern edge of Grimm Farm, it was in great shape. Nevertheless after a fast first couple of miles, I slowed and had to take a breather before I continued on to King. King was okay but definitely could use more snow so there could be better coverage. Ended up skiing 8.3 miles at slow 5.1 MPH pace.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Good, packed and recently groomed. Great for skate ski, not all trails tracked (as of 10 am).
Sugar Bush and Lake Trail were groomed and tracked, great condition. Nature Center trail was a bit thick/thin in spots, not tracked, as was King Trail. Didn't do Grimm Farm trail, but saw groomers out this morning.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ B skis ]
Skated all the trails except Nature trail Thursday, mostly good and level with some fresh snow. Uphills on Grimm and King are still covered with gravel or larger rocks so needed to herringbone. Icy near the bottom after the S curve hill on King. Otherwise a nice ski but needs more snow!
