Another beautiful day of spring skiing. Thanks to the Loppet for grooming one last time. Groomer came through around 8 o'clock and turned icy course in to great skiing. Conditions were getting soft and slow by 10:30. Super fun skiing one last time with many friends.

April 21, 2 months until the summer solstice and we still have good skiing! Hard to believe that last weekend we were in the middle of a snow storm and now we have a high temperature near 60. I'll be back again tomorrow morning.

Hats off to groomers today for giving us an incredible morning of spring skiing today. Classic tracks varied from excellent to fair and the base was quite fast in places even when I finished 2 hours skiing at 10:45. Almost a party atmosphere with lots of people enjoying it.

Amazing to be skiing on 4/20 even if it doesn't shatter the May 1st record at wirth! Spring was in the air as grass and weed and buds (soon to be flowers) were try to shake free of the crystals and nuggets of snow. I used just a dab of wax under foot which let me rip on the downhills. I stopped at the high point and then blazed a zig zag course through the trees. Once the morning sun hit it burned through the clouds of mist that hung in the shady bowls, baking the sharp crunchy snow until it was blunt and sticky. Overall the snow is clean but my sticky klister picked up lots of little red hairs. Thank you Wirth for the extended season!

Classic skied from 8:30 until 10. Track had been reground and reset. Have to give it a very good especially for April 20th. Skaters were cruising good on the deck and reported nice skiing. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful ski venue in the twin cities. Happy Trails!

Skied from 9 am to 10 am, felt I hit the conditions just right. Very fast, a little icy when I first started and getting just a little slow in spots when I left. Surprisingly good coverage throughout the groomed loop, I could have used my good skis. Lots of people out stretching the end of the season.

Groomer out working his magic on the trail when I arrived at 8:30. Tracks were deep, hard and glazed. I classic skied 5 loops with skin skis and they worked amazing! Skate deck looked great. Another good ski on a beautiful morning!

Groomer was out at about 8am this morning. Before being groomed the trail was icy and difficult to get a edge skating, but after being groomed the trail was perfection- no ice, fast, clean snow. You could get by using A skis if you wanted to, but there are a few avoidable dirty spots starting to show, so B skis are probably a better bet.

Observation
Not groomed as of 6:30 AM. Was told by another skier that it was very icy. Did not venture out. Observed an elite appearing skier crust skiing.
