Notes

Some of the best trails in southern Minnesota. Tucked in the valley behind the school, the trails run around the northern slopes of the valley making them quite challenging and also well protected from the sun. Some lighted sections, and snowmaking operations.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Our .8K was scratched up this morning and is now very skiable. No tracks. Some thin spots, B skis recommended we have about a 30' climb included. The loop can be skied either direction. Access is in Yon's field.

Due to the warm temperatures this afternoon it was soft but firming up as the night cooled down. Got there after they had ski practice. They groomed right after practice which was really nice. Due to the soft snow ruts are forming. Grateful for the grinning grooming and the opportunity to ski. Hopefully everyone stays off Thursday and Friday with the really warm weather to protect the base.

Very thankful to the crew that made the loop including a nice hill off chute! You should be proud of your effort and dedication to the sport. Glad to be able to ski in Southeast Minnesota at this early time of the year. A bit of soft snow but definitely can't complain. It's only my third time skiing so I'm happy with any k's I can log.

It's not a lot but we're proud of our little man-made loop in Yon's Valley. The recent cold-snap allowed us to blow 0.4 mile loops. Track is also set. Grooming is sporadic due to temps. Avoid skiing Thursday and Friday this week due to forecast warm weather. Grooming plans: We plan to blow snow more once temps drop below 21 degrees.
