Reports 1 to 5 of 5    Month: Mar | Jan
Sunday, March 31, 2024
Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
As expected, ski conditions are rapidly deteriorating and the bare spots are growing. It's still skiable and it would've been better if I went earlier in the day.

Firsthand: Classic Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Grooming was done with the PistenBully on Wednesday morning on the following trails: Alternative Trail, Cabin Loop, and Cervenka's Curl. Tracks are set on many areas but not all. There are some areas where the tiller hit dirt, but otherwise some great skiing that will depend on temperature. I skied mid-day today and it was holding up well. Note: Road and parking lot are in rough condition for driving/parking.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
Conditions remain poor as meaningful snow has gone either south or north of us. Skating is possible on the Alternate Trail with a thin base of snow. You will encounter grass, dirt, rocks, sticks, and leaves. I did the loop twice this morning. Skiers are enjoying ungroomed classic skiing on the other trails. We are skiing the tracks to improve it for the next skier - old fashioned grooming.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
We're back - we didn't get a lot of snow, and it's powdery, but we decided to give it a try. The Alternate Trail is packed and skiable. The snow is very thin, so use caution if you go and use rock skis! The other trails are not groomed, but you can ski them if you wish. Poor conditions are better than nothing at this point. The Warming House is open and heated.
