Both donuts are closed so the trail is open from the chalet to the South Donut then returning to the chalet via Elm's Everest. It was like skiing on a giant snow cone. Very soft ice; just a few of us had already rutted the skate deck. We were sinking in up to 6" on the uphills.

Heard that Elm was at least skiable so had to give it a whirl. I was on rock skis, but could have used good skis if careful. Skiing was okay! Felt like skiing on a snow cone. Wasn't quite slush, snow, or ice, but somewhere in between. Doughnut was closed and bottom of the wall has sections blocked off due to melt/run off. No classic tracks at all. Appreciate the trail crew keeping it open.

My daughter reports that the snow at Elm this morning is skiable and is actually more snow than slush.

Park staff report being down to 1.5k of trail open because of closing off the donut due to deteriorating conditions. They did groom this morning but conditions are slushy and variable.

I was the only skier there at 8am. Slushy in some areas and icy in others. Trails are in pretty rough shape. Skis dug in pretty deep with each skate. They have closed the upper "donut" loop, so only about 1.5k open.

The groomers did their magic again! Even after a race the day before and uncooperative weather the classic tracks were great. There were a couple of downhills where the outer track was washed out but that was skiers not grooming. The skaters were challenged on the big hill with lots of sugar, the donut looked to be much more managable.

I skied classic at Elm Creek this morning. The tracks were in very good condition, maybe just a bit icy. I had a bit of trouble with kick on the hills as I got more tired. The donut downhill is downright quick. I talked to some skaters and they said the sugar on the big hill is getting bad with some falling. If the groomers can keep producing this good of snow despite the weather I will be very happy.

For 80% I'd say the trails are in great shape. The hills are a different story. Very much corn snow. There isn't anything binding the snow together. Up hills were already mush by 6:30 am.

I skied classic at Elm Creek this morning. The wind was unpleasant on the section down to the Bottenoue house and from the top of the hill to the bridge. This was mostly due to drifting snow from the guns. The tracks were a little bit shallower, mainly due to the drifting snow. Watch the corners, some of the outside track has been skied out. I had good grip and glide, almost too good of glide on the donut downhill. The skate deck looked firm with little sugar on the hill. There were two guns on the hill bypass and one on the whale tail.

Great ski this morning. Skate deck was great and it looked like the tracks were providing good kick. Hills getting a little loose. A few high school teams practicing.
