Hoigaard's 2014 Paddle Derby

Hoigaard's Paddle Derby Is Returning Soon! Thursday, May 29th is the first race of our ten race series on the city lakes. Same time, same place - as we have for over three decades! Many of you have paddled with us for many of those years and we welcome you back for another round of friendly competition. We also put a special emphasis on new paddlers - that's where the future of our sport lies. Please encourage new recruits to join in the fun and help us to increase participation in our sport. We've seen a good rise at the Derby the last few years. Canoes, kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, all are welcome at the Derby! As we have since 1982 we meet just west of Thomas Beach on Lake Calhoun. Registration is 5:45 pm to 6:30 pm and the race starts at 6:45 pm. Join us every Thursday from May 29 through August 7 (except July 3).
