Bjorn Lasserud’s Saturday morning workout at Hyland Lake Park is still alive and well. Although Bjorn rarely favors us with his presence anymore, Ken Tobacman and Tom Anderson will continue to lead the workout every Saturday morning from September 10 until the snow arrives, starting at 8:30 am, at the Hyland downhill area. The workout has not changed substantially over the decades since Bjorn developed it. It remains a proven effective method for preparing for the Nordic ski season.

Note that although skiers of all levels of fitness and ability have done this workout, it’s strenuous, and demanding. The workout lasts about 2 hours. Bring sturdy running shoes, or trail shoes and classic length or slightly shorter ski poles. All are welcome to participate, and there is no fee.
