Hoigaards Paddle Derby Begins this Thursday

Hoigaard's Paddle Derby begins next Thursday, May 31st. This is the first race of a ten race series on the Minneapolis Chain of Lakes. The Derby continues every Thursday through August 2nd.

The Paddle Derby gives you the opportunity to develop your skills by competing against the best local paddlers each week. We also encourage recreational canoers, kayakers and stand-up paddleboarders to enter our short course.

Enter one race or as many as ten! The Derby is excellent cross training for other sports, developing core strength as you paddle. Many of our regular competitors use the Derby as a fun form of off-season training for cross country skiing.

We meet at Thomas Beach on Bde Maka Ska (formerly Lake Calhoun). Registration begins at 5:45 pm, races start at 6:45 pm. Any questions? Email [email protected].
