Four of the twelve top racing spots in the province have been achieved by Thunder Bay skiers. Selection is based on results from the Ontario Cup race series during the past season. Jeff Cameron, Big Thunder Nordic, Brodie Marshall, Lappe Nordic, Rena Bode Big Thunder Nordic, Sean Crooks, Big Thunder Nordic will meet their team members in Vernon BC for high altitude training in November. Additionally, Jeff Seguin also made the team. Seguin, of North Bay, has moved to Thunder Bay to train with the National Team Development Centre.

Thunder Bay's strong showing reflects the strong community support and cross-country infrastructure this city presents.
