Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The nine hole groomed up OK after several passes. Lots of wind drifts That had to be knocked down. But looks perfect now. Classic is superb. And the skate deck is fantastic. Enjoy it.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Somewhat disappointed that they hadn't been groomed in anticipation of the first nice day since the cold, at least as of 10 AM. The "hand forged" classic track was fair, but pretty hopeless for skating with all of the wind blown crusty snow over the deck. Hopefully they will groom soon.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Ungroomed yesterday, ungroomed today at 12:30pm. Skied-in trails (classic) made for an above zero ski, made better by all the folks who skied the path before me.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
As of late this afternoon, not groomed. People have forged a pretty good classic track, but anyone hoping to skate was out of luck.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Only skier-made tracks that vaguely follow the normal trail. Lots of criss cross trails. Difficult to ski in spots, but doable. Skating deck present in places but I wouldn't want to try going all the way around. "Oh groomer where art thou?" Plenty of snow and when he does go around, it should be great.

Morning
Observation
[ Trails: Closed, Good skis ]
Due to the extreme temperatures and the holiday weekend the cross country ski trail will not be groomed until Monday afternoon. The following reasons were taken into consideration. Blizzard/winter weather advisory. Wind chills below threshold for any outdoor rec activities. Anything that is done will be blown over. Other park districts are also waiting for the storms to pass before any additional grooming. Enjoy your holiday and stay warm.

My first time at these trails. Half an inch of snow over packed trails. Classic track was set. Pretty good conditions and heart-warming to see so many skiers out on such a cold day!

Perfect skating. Tracks were good too when I was in them on downhills. Weather good. Sunset good. Trees beautiful.

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The breeze is a bit chilly headed west throughout the course, but with some good layers and a nice set of sun glasses: perfect. Skate deck was firm under a light covering for solid footing and good glide. Looked like the classic tracks are also well set. Good number of folks out. Sunny day!

Evening
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The full loop was in excellent condition for skating this evening. Hats off to the groomer because, with the new snow additions today on top of a well packed and slightly skied corduroy skating lane, the conditions were as good as they get. No ice whatsoever with a full, wide lane and classic track next to it made for a beautiful evening of skiing on this course. Thank you to the groomer(s) and snow gods!
