Thanks to Dave Peters for your fine work grooming and keeping the trails in great working order due to challenging blow downs. We know your the guy that's doing all the work out here and this was my first visit to Anvil since I worked here. Glad to see you finally got a roller!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
10" Base. All segments have been groomed. Due to an equipment malfunction the access trails (Military and the short spur trail from STH 70 trailhead) were groomed but not tracked. However, the entire interior system (West, Devils Run, Ninemile and East trail) have been groomed and tracked. Conditions are excellent.

8" Base. All segments have been groomed and tracked. Some debris on trail from this weeks snowstorm. The rain, ice, and wet heavy snow has made grooming difficult, but overall conditions are good.

6" Base. Military, West, East, and Nine mile trail segments were groomed and tracked today. Unable to get to Lake Loop as a portion of the day was spent rolling and widening the trail where possible. Devils Run was rolled and packed in preparation for grooming on Friday. Again, with cold weather, things should firm up nicely and provide for a great week of skiing. Tentative plan is to groom and track the entire system on Friday, December 20th.

With about an inch of fresh fluff on top of perfect grooming, conditions were great! Skied all loops over two hours and really enjoyed 9 Mile Loop. Best conditions in December for a decade.

Skied the easy trail on military road down to the warming shelter. A group of people walked down the tracks, trampling all over them most of the way, both ways. I intercepted them at some point and told them to please stay off the ski tracks. Aside from that, we got 2" or so of snow the night before, so I did my best to break a clean trail, and undo any damage those people left on foot. Shouldn't be too hard to correct with the next grooming, but frustrating nonetheless.

Awesome ski this morning at Anvil. Conditions were perfect as all trails (except Devils' Run) were nicely groomed and tracked for classic style. Thanks for grooming, guys.

6" Base. All trail segments were cleared and packed last week and early this week following our late November snowstorms. Today, all segments, other than Devils Run, were groomed, tracked and are in good skiing condition. Things should firm up nicely overnight allowing for great skiing over the weekend. Tentative plan is to groom and track the entire system on Monday, December 16th.
