Morning

Skied in the rain. The lighted loops were skiable, however, bumpy from the most recent groom. There were some good snow patches within the lighted loop segments, including X and the "field of dreams".

Evening
Firsthand: Both
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
All trails were regroomed today. Skiing was fast. Grip was good in track and skating did not slip on ice much. Occasional ice patches and an occasional needle clump on the 10 k. 10 k is a little bumpy on hills. Leo's and Y were beautiful. Lit was in good shape. Alps and bushwhacked are still closed.

Night
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
The lighted loop was surprisingly good. The new snow helped. The tracks were shallow. I don't about the rest of the trail system.

Night
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
The lighted loop has fast skate conditions with reasonable control. No corduroy on the skate deck. The tracks were shallow and a tad bit icy. It was a fun ski tonight, thanks to the groomers.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Ski trails were surprisingly good this afternoon considering only 1/2 " to 1 " of new snow had reportedly been received recently. Skied the lighted loop, Leo's loop and the 6 k loop and found trails skiable and safe. Debris was not an issue and didn't see any bare spots. However, trail conditions board in the chalet advising trail base is only 1 1/2 " and trails will diminish quickly without new snow soon. The classic tracks looked minimal. Groomers accomplished some very good work I think.

Nine miles received 1 to 1/2 in of new snow this last week. Lighted loop (approx 6 k total) was good conditions, smooth, very skiable, good coverage. Most of the debris has been groomed out or covered by new snow. Outside of the Lighted loop trails are pretty uneven/debris evident. Overall it was skiable, especially on lighted loop. Bring B skis.

Observation
[ Trails Open: Partial ]
Looked unsafe to me. No new grooming leaving ice and uneven trails. Saw classic tracks only on some trails. Skate deck looked rutted.

The lighted loop was ok with good control. The 10 k should be closed, the "T" was a sheet of ice. Lots of storm damage has been cleaned up.

Trails are partially open but I don't recommend skiing until trails can be groomed with new snow. Personally did not feel safe due to icy conditions and the amount of debris on the trails. Did ski Leo's loop for the first time this year and seeing all the work that the volunteers have accomplished making progress allowing for segments to open is really impressive. Thank you! Now We need help from mother nature. I hope to get out and help with trail work on my next trip out to nine mile.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Crews cleared trail C (Leo's Loop) yesterday and that segment is now open in addition the 6k and lighted loop. The balance of the 10k is cleared but remains closed as we are unable to groom with current temperatures. The balance of the 10k will be groomed Saturday morning and open for use at that time.
