Groomed last night and was in phenomenal shape for both skate and classic. Snow wasn't overly fast but the beautiful day and perfect grooming made up for it.

20 F, bright blue sky, perfect blue wax classic skiing at Boulder this morning. Groomed yesterday and set up nicely in the below zero temps last night.

I had the north trails all to myself this morning. Classic tracks are all in good condition with only a tiny amount of debris in the tracks. Most debris was in Otter Run. One sunny spot on Otter Run felt icy this morning. That may get mushy as the day wears on. Otherwise, a terrific ski.

Best conditions of the year! Clear skies, mid 20s F, wind 10 mph out of NW, but hardly felt it in the woods. Super thanks to the groomer who set absolutely perfect skate lanes and classic tracks just after midnight Monday night. So mid-morning Tuesday I had great glide in tracks, and on skate lanes (I jumped out to try the skating a few times). Good old Swix blue gave perfect kick, until just before I quit, but it was then over 30 F, and I might have worn it off after 27 km. Hope to be back tomorrow.

Skied from the north parking lot, with the wolf ski warming hut. First time on this trail system. We had to ask some people where the warming hut was. Need better signage about the level of difficulty. Trail was very well groomed and gorgeous with big pines. Well worth the drive from lake dodo.

Excellent classic conditions at Boulder today. I skied the Bear Paw, Blue Ox, and Nine Pines trails.

The classic tracks on 9 Pine and Blue Ox are shallow and fast. Tracks are washed out on many corners. Lonesome Grouse tracks are in very good condition. Much debris on all trails in forested area. Nothing interfered with my skiing. It's mostly pulverized pine needles, twigs and leaves.

Terrific skiing today. Super fast skate deck and pretty clean. Slightly icy in a few spots and granular in a spot or two where the sun is hitting. A few spots have some minor tree debris. The classic tracks are somewhat shallow but certainly skiable. Thanks for the great grooming!

Conditions were excellent for both skate and classic prior to 1:00pm and only then did the fully southern exposed portions of the trail start to soften. Great skiing although it felt more like March 11 than February 11. There was some debris under large pines but that is to be expected.

Night
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We went out for a night time skijor on Blue Ox and Bear Paw trails. Classic tracks are in OK shape. They were icy by 7pm so parts of the trail felt like we were in a Winter X Games event. There's lots of fine debris like needles, bark and leaves in the wooded sections. Only once or twice did my ski drag momentarily.
