Some of the best skiing we have seen all year! The trail is hard packed and fast. Warmer temps during the day and cold temps at night make for rocket fast conditions in the morning hours. Enjoy.

Great coverage at Spirit the high winds made for some dirty snow but otherwise awesome hard deck skiing!

All trails are open, freshly groomed and removed of debris. Great spring skiing! Saturday and Sunday trails will be closed until 1PM. The 3rd Annual Spirit Mountain Skijor and Sled Dog Run will take place on the Spirit Mountain XC trails. Racing starts at 9:30AM on Saturday and 8:30AM on Sunday. Trails will be groomed after races are completed each day. Come out and watch the races.

Classic tracks were shallow and on some sections non-existent. Debris is on the trail from the high winds we have been experiencing. Not blaming the groomers. We need more snow. Skating deck looked very hard and probably fast. Do not recommend good skis.

Skied both Saturday and Sunday in excellent conditions. Well groomed, plenty of snow (don't know how much more fell past Sunday afternoon.) Because I've always skied snowflake in Duluth I never went to the Spirit Mountain trails but they are excellent rolling terrain with a couple nice climbs and occasional vistas. Great experience.

All trails are groomed for skate and classic, 10k, 3k and Campground loop 1.5k. Great conditions. Get out and enjoy!

After some delays due to a deep snow pack and equipment issues the 3k and the campground loop (1.5k) are groomed for skating and classic skiing. The 10k will be groomed and worked on over the next two days. All trails should be open by Friday. Get out and enjoy!

Classic track is good shape with just a few spots to step around. Track is hard packed, icy, and fast. Klister worked well, but track is very abrasive causing the klister to slough off. Skate lane was groomed and seems in good shape.

The Campground Loop 1.5k and the 3k were groomed on Wednesday night and are in great condition. The 10k skate lane was freshened up to produce a nice skate deck. All trails are groomed for both classic and skating.

Duluth Denfeld High School will be hosting a race at Spirit Mountain Nordic Center on Saturday, Feb 10th, and the trails and parking lot at the nordic center will not be available until after 4pm on Saturday.
